Westmed Portal Frequently Asked Questions

Where can I find information that was on the Westmed website?

As of June 2023, the Summit Health website is your new destination. We have created a hub for Summit Health (formerly Westmed) patients on summithealth.com that houses all the information you need for care including links to:

  • Find a provider
  • Access the patient portal
  • Make an online appointment
  • Visit urgent care
  • Request medical records

How do I make an appointment?

There are two ways to make an appointment with your provider. You can:

  • Call your practice on the phone the same way you always have.
  • Schedule an appointment online using the Summit Health website.

Will my Westmed providers remain the same?

Yes, there will be no change to your care team. You can still see the same doctors you know and trust, at the same convenient locations. The only change is that you will now use the Summit Health website to schedule appointments online or view your doctor’s profile

How do I access my patient portal?

Patients still have access and can use the same Athena portal. Patients do NOT need to create a new portal account and can log into the portal using the same credentials

Will the patient app be shutting down?

Yes, the MyWestmed patient app has been discontinued. The app can be removed from your device. There is no replacement app to download at this time. Please visit the Summit Health website directly to find a provider, locate nearby offices, and schedule an appointment online

Can I keep my current insurance?

We always recommend you verify that the location and physician you are seeing participate with your health plan. You can view accepted health plans on the Summit Health website.

How can I pay my bill?

Patients can continue to access statements and pay bills via the Athena portal.

If you have a question about your bill, please call (914) 681-3110

How do I request my medical records?

You can access your medical records by using the online medical request form. Information about how to access Authorization to Release Medical Records forms is available on the Summit Health website
