Welcome to the Westmed Medical Group Patient Portal. WestMed Portal login is an innovative, patient-centered portal that allows you to view your complete health record and bill payment online. This includes a history of past hospitalization, echocardiogram reports, CT scans, lab values, and immunizations.
Westmed is excited to announce that on November 16th they will be transitioning over to a new Electronic Health Record (EHR), athenahealth. The Westmed team is looking forward to bringing this innovative system into their practice to offer you new digital check-in processes, enhanced visit efficiencies, and improved communication with your providers through the new Patient Portal.
What You Should Expect
As of June 2023, the Summit Health website is your new destination. We have created a hub for Summit Health (formerly Westmed) patients on summithealth.com that houses all the information you need for care including links to:
- Find a provider
- Access the patient portal
- Make an online appointment
- Visit urgent care
- Request medical records
It’s important to understand that with a new electronic health record, some things may take a little longer than you are used to in the beginning. For example, you may be asked more questions than you are usually asked during the scheduling and check-in processes, as we work quickly to register you within the new systems.
Some new features that are brought into the practice will include:
- Mobile Check-In Processes and Pre-Visit Forms
- Enhanced Online Scheduling
- New Web-Based Patient Portal
- Easy Access to Your Medical Records
How Your Westmed Portal Account is Protected
Westmed is committed to safeguarding your medical information. Westmed Online is kept secure and confidential using a Secure Socket Layer (SSL) protocol and encryption. All staff and physicians receive training and are accountable for protecting patient privacy. We ask that you keep your password and user name completely confidential.
In addition, My Westmed access requires a unique email address and password that you created. The My Westmed patient portal is owned and operated by athenahealth and is fully compliant with federal and state laws of your privacy. Your name and email address will be kept private and confidential and will never be sold or released by Westmed Group.
Westmed Portal Login
The Westmed portal Login uses Login with athenahealth to enable access to a range of healthcare portals and apps built by Athenahealth, healthcare providers, and other participating developers using a single email and password.
You can use this email and password anywhere you see the “Log in with Athenahealth” button, including patient portals and other apps you may use to manage your health records from various healthcare providers. If you haven’t registered for Westmed’s new Patient Portal, you can do so by clicking “Create an Account” to register for the new portal with your email address and a new password.
- To log in to your account, copy https://21260-1.portal.athenahealth.com to your browser.
- Click on “Log in with Athena Health”
- Fill in the username and password fields on the page with their respective credentials. After signing in, click “Manage Your Health Record” to access all your information available through Westmed.
- To access records from your previous online patient portal, visit https://portalhistory.westmedgroup.com/
Forgot Password? To begin password reset, click the “Forgot password?” link at the bottom of your screen and enter the email address you normally use to log in. You’ll be sent a link at that email address that you can use to reset your password.
Family Access Patient Portal Registration
My Westmed Family Access enables parents, legal guardians, and caregivers access to the patient’s medical records and access to communicate with the patient’s providers. Setting Up Family Access If You Are a Westmed Patient and Already Have a Patient Portal Account:
A family member who is a Westmed patient can request access to the portal account of another family member who is also a patient. Learn more

My Westmed Connect
My Westmed Connect is Westmed’s personalized health coaching program designed to help you stay on track with your individual health and wellness goals outside of the exam room. When you use the My Westmed Connect app with your monitoring device, you will have your real-time health readings recorded and sent directly to your provider.
If there is an abnormal reading, you’ll be contacted by a Care Coach who will help you get connected with your provider or guide you through ways to get back on track. While this program won’t replace your in-person visits, it will help give you and your provider a more in-depth understanding of your individual healthcare needs.
